****BREAKING NEWS****
Check out HEART on KHQ:
On December 16th, The Pend Oreille County Sheriff seized almost 90 animals from a residence near Ione. The animals included 3 cats, 11 dogs, about 40 goats, 4 pigs, 2 horses and about 30 farms birds. All of the farm animals were suffering from severe malnutrition, lack of water and lack of shelter in the extreme cold. HEART helped transport the animals from the site of the seizure and set up a temporary shelter where we cared for them night and day in the freezing cold. Since then, SpokAnimal has stepped up to care for the cats and dogs and has helped with veterinary care for the farm animals as well. In addition, Higher Ground Animal Sanctuary has taken on the huge task of rehoming the farm animals as well as sharing daily care duties. HEART, along with SpokAnimal and Higher Ground Animal Sanctuary will continue to work in the cold and through the holidays to ensure these animals get their health back before they are able to travel and go up for adoption.
ADOPTION INQUIRIES can be made directly to SpokAnimal and Higher Ground Animal Sanctuary.
Please help HEART to help these animals! Donations can be made, by PayPal or Venmo, through the links above or through the link posted to our Facebook page. Your donation is greatly appreciated!
