Thank you for your interest in volunteering with HEART. We are always in need of help. We have opportunities working directly with animals, fundraising and logistics. Whatever your passion, we have a place for you!

Step 1: Background Check & Demographics
Click this link to fill out the Spokane County Emergency Management Application.

Step 2: Once you receive confirmation that your application to Spokane County Emergency Management has been approved, fill out the HEART Volunteer Application.

REQUIRED SCEM Classes:

First Aid/CPR/AED - Certification must be renewed every two years. You may be certified through SCEM or any other agency such as the American Red Cross who is licensed.

HEART highly recommends the following ONLINE & FREE FEMA courses:

You will also have an opportunity to attend The Shelter Training class when given. This class is REQUIRED if you want to deploy with American Humane.​
