HEART has temporarily suspended our monthly meetings.



The Resource Unit at the Incident Command Post (Emergency Coordination Center) is urgently looking for staff for the Isolation Unit at the Alternative Care Campus and the Mobile Triage Unit.

HEART is always ready to assist the animals and people of Spokane County in the event of an emergency. We are standing by to respond to requests for assistance during the COVID-19 outbreak. 



HEART Mission Statement

The mission of the Humane Evacuation Animal Rescue Team (HEART) is to provide assistance in times of emergency/disasters, whether man-made or natural, rescuing animals, setting up and operating emergency animal shelters when requested by the appropriate authority having jurisdiction.

HEART also works to educate the public regarding emergency preparedness for all animals within their care.
